Biography

CHIONE

Chione is a Finnish singer-songwriter known for her dark pop sound, blending rock influences, real instruments including guitars, and symbolic, emotionally rich lyrics. She released her first single, Light, in August 2018 and has been releasing music consistently ever since. Chione studied music production at the prestigious Point Blank Music School in London and graduated as a vocal soloist from the Laajasalo Institute in Helsinki in 2017. She writes and composes all of her songs. In recognition of her songwriting skills, Chione received a grant from the Finnish Cultural Foundation in 2022.

Chione was accepted into the Finnish Music Creators Association in 2024. Her music has earned spots on Spotify playlists and received radio play both in Finland and internationally. Chione also performs at various venues across Finland, and her music videos have been filmed in locations including London and Venice. Her music was also featured on a billboard in Times Square, New York, just before the New Year. In early 2025, she stayed at the artist residency of the Finnish Music Creators Association in Hollywood Hills, but had to cut her stay short due to the wildfires that caused destruction in Los Angeles.

Chione's latest single, Dance with the Devil, continues her signature dark pop sound, combining strong guitar elements with emotionally rich and symbolic lyrics. The track captures the tension between vulnerability and defiance—stepping into the spotlight, risking everything, and refusing to be controlled. Produced by Eric Rosse (Tori Amos, Lisa Marie Presley), the song was released on March 13.
